Description: 6-row feed barley
Strengths: Higher yielding than Lacombe with high percent plump, test weight and kernel weight. The high percent plump kernels facilitate even processing for cattle feed resulting in increased feed efficiency. Lodging resistance and disease package is similar to AC Lacombe. Resistance to the surface-borne smuts and common root rot. Moderate resistance to scald and net blotch. Smooth awned.
Weaknesses: Susceptible to loose smut.
