Characteristics   [Top]
Strengths: Excellent straw strength and good head retention at maturity compared to Falcon. Good test weight and plumpness. It is 1 day earlier maturing and is higher yielding than Falcon under severe lodging conditions. Resistant to stem rust and common root rot; moderately resistant to scald, surface-borne smuts and net blotch.
Weaknesses: Susceptible to loose smut. Smaller seed size than Falcon. Rough awned.
